Fashion and glamour was at it’s best with everyone involving their best gear to stand out during the fashion week Gala. It was a ‘see me slay’ affair right from the audience, to the organizers, the judges and the models. The 1st of March was a night of peculiarity as it had fusion of pageantry and high fashion modelling all in play.
The audience started streaming in at the Cafeteria, Students center which was the venue for the gala at around 8pm. The men were in their best suits, and the ladies in sheen dresses. Epic smiles, a common accessory for their looks, themed the evening.

When 10pm came, the audience was of good quorum and the event started. First on stage was the MU band that rocked the stage with their “Bwana radio” hit which filled the atmosphere with beautiful rhythms.

Then came the hosts of the glamorous fashion week gala. World Miss universities Africa,Moi University’s Miss Culture, Betty Muzarika and the outgoing Mr. Fashion Week also Mr. Culture Moi University Richard Oteba who took over from the band. Her black velvet dress was well complimented by his all white Dabonaire suit and together they killed the show.
A surprise guest, Valentine Smiley, was then called on stage who took the audience by shock with her beautiful voice. She got a standing ovation at the end of her singing.

The award winning actor Udada international awarded 2018, Kevin Mbayage was the master of ceremony. He then called the models on stage for their introduction wear which was all white.  A total of 21 models hit the runway with only 6 of them being male. There were 5 wears in total. An all white introduction,Fall season wear, vintage wear,  a showcase from designers and finally dinner wear. Competition was stiff among the male models, which called for a question and answer session to determine who comes where. After all this was done, the judgesheet was ready and done. The jugdes then announced the winners, starting with the ladies,tag 6 was the second runners up, tag 14 Charity was first runners up. For the male tag 9, Macus Kubai second runners up, with Victor Rioba taking the first runners up. The outstanding model was Sally Malucia. The winners of the Moi University fashion week 2019/20 were Vannessah and Dennis Raj.
