Changes In Fashion

The fashion industry is changing constantly. New styles are being incorporated into old styles and many ideas are passed down as others are removed. The latest idea that is being tested is the expectations for genders, particularly models. Over the years, more and more models have expressed their own personal styles and beliefs.

But what’s changed? We all have a general idea of what is masculine and what is feminine. Men have usually been seen as the more physically active gender while women have been seen as more elegant and nurturing. In today’s fashion industry, these ideas are becoming an old way of thinking. Directors have begun to give male models the same treatment as female models. More and more male models are coming out and expressing their pride. This, without doubt, has taken fashion to a stronger and more interesting level.

Male models in Moi University…

This has also been incorporated by the male models of Moi University. These models have managed to come up with their own ideas that turn most heads as they walk on the streets. Every day of the week, you will see these men with new looks that are creative.

Sam Mutashi, a second-year student in the School of Information Sciences, is an example of what am talking about. He is a model at Moi University whose looks, both in person and pictures, clearly define the changes in fashion. He has successfully managed to come up with modern and unique ideas. He knows how to dress for an occasion and believe me, you will look again when he walks past you.

Photos of Sam…

Not only does he look good but also gives out tips on what and how to wear. He has a blog, https://sammutash.wordpress.com/blog/, where he posts about fashion. Men looking to upgrade their wardrobe should definitely make Sam a close friend. Visit https://www.instagram.com/sam_mutash/ to see more of his photos.

This boldness has tested social norms and has made a strong statement. Other men, who are not models, embrace this by confidently trying out new things. Some even manage to turn a few heads.

  1. I grew up with a notion that modeling is strictly for the female members of the society, but the advancement in the industry has given me a different look on the same. This Post on the other hand just Nailed it.

  3. Clothes are a great way to express one’s self and I believe you have captured that.Ladies should also be inspired to embrace androgyny .There shouldn’t be a distinction on what is considered masculine or feminine hence individuals are in a position to choose what to wear based on what they feel.
